Nick Johnson began working as a Planning Intern for MDRoffers Consulting in 2018, started as an Assistant Planner in 2020, and in 2022 became a Planner & Project Manager. Nick brings technical skills and abilities to MDRoffers Consulting with his 10+ years’ experience in project management and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other geographic and cartographic software. Nick is also a skilled researcher, clear communicator, dedicated worker, creative problem solver, and active and adaptive learner.
While with MDRoffers Consulting, Nick has worked on a variety of projects. These include school district enrollment and housing projections, comprehensive plan updates, zoning and subdivision ordinance updates and amendments, impact fee needs assessments, and highway corridor plans. He has also performed cartographic, GIS, and demographic work for Wisconsin school districts such as Burlington, Mukwonago, Pulaski, Verona, Waukesha, and West Allis-West Milwaukee, and for the Davenport Community School District in Iowa. Major projects in 2021 included leadership, research, and writing a Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan for the Village of DeForest, updating the Village of DeForest Comprehensive Plan and Town of Cottage Grove Comprehensive Plan, and performing housing and enrollment projections for the Davenport Community School District.
